ASIC Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Accredited Certification

ASIC has recently been awarded ISO 9001:2008 accredited certification in recognition of their commitment to high standards in its accreditation process and internal procedures.

ASIC was assessed and met the requirements of ISO9001:2008 for the following scope of operations: ‘Accreditation for education institutions in the UK and Worldwide’.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard which confirms a company’s adherence to a quality benchmark and implementation of a comprehensive quality management system.  This system covers all aspects of ASIC’s accreditation work and ensures that the highest standards are maintained and built upon throughout the company.

Certification was awarded following a review by the independent audit firm DAS Certification Ltd., who are themselves accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service), in which ASIC achieved all of the accreditation elements with no non-conformance issues being raised.

“We are of course very pleased that ASIC has achieved this important global kite mark,” said ASIC Chairman Maurice Dimmock.  “This provides added confidence in ASIC’s comprehensive quality assurance for our institutions and educational partners around the world.”

As a quality assurance body, ASIC understands the benefits that independent review can bring to an organisation’s working processes.  By undertaking accredited ISO certification we have been able to improve upon our systems to ensure that we continue to provide the excellent service our colleges have come to expect.

Obtaining ISO certification is an important recognition of ASIC’s ongoing commitment to quality in global education, as well as improving the effectiveness of our accreditation activities to the benefit of all our institutions.
